Israeli attacks shut down Gaza shelters, fighting rages in Lebanon

Israeli army continues its siege of northern Gaza for a fifth day, killing dozens of people and forcing thousands to flee.
The UNWRA says at least seven schools sheltering displaced people are being evacuated and that Israeli attacks have forced the agency to “shut down lifesaving services”.
In Lebanon, Hezbollah says its fighters repelled two Israeli military incursions as its attempts to gain ground in the country’s south appeared to stall.
In Gaza, at least 42,010 people have been killed and 97,720 wounded in Israeli attacks since October 2023. In Israel, at least 1,139 people were killed in the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 and more than 200 people were taken captive.
